Missing Voices
The 12 month commission is led by the University of Worcester in partnership with Shaping our Lives. The research explores:
- Why are the voices of disabled people in the UK’s Gypsy Roma Traveller communities missing from policy and practice debates about independent living?
- What model(s) of disability do Gypsy Roma Traveller communities practice and how does this align with the definition of independent living?
- How might traditional DPOs be inclusive and represent Gypsy Roma Traveller issues or is there another form of representation which facilitates their voice being heard in policy and practice debates about independent living?
